Aubay Portugal is looking for an experienced embedded software engineer to join our Lisbon team. You will develop, maintain and optimize software for embedded systems using C/C++ and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

We value 4+ years of hands-on experience, strong memory management and hardware interaction skills, and fluency in English and Portuguese (B2). The project offers remote-friendly work and a supportive growth-focused environment.

What will you do?

• Develop, maintain and optimize software for embedded systems, ensuring performance, reliability and quality;
• Design and implement software components using C/C++ in embedded environments;
• Perform debugging, testing and troubleshooting of embedded software and its interaction with hardware;
• Participate in the analysis of technical requirements and contribute to the definition of software solutions and architectures;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the software development lifecycle, following established development and quality practices.

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development, with proven experience in embedded systems;
• Strong programming skills in C and/or C++, particularly in embedded environments;

• Experience with development and version control tools, such as Git, as well as debugging and testing tools for embedded environments;
• Portuguese and English proficiency of at least B2 level, enabling effective communication within the project team and client environment;
