Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Lisbon is seeking a DevNetOps Engineer to join a team focused on network automation and Data Center infrastructure.

You will develop Python-based automation for network configuration management, integrate NetBox with controllers, and build validation, testing and deployment workflows using Ansible, Robot Framework and GitHub Actions. Promote IaC and ensure traceability across automation processes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python development.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and YAML.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, PRs and code reviews.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps.
• Experience with Ansible, automated testing, and validation tools.
• Understanding of Data Center networking and switching concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a DevNetOps Engineer to join a team focused on network automation and Data Center infrastructure.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Developing Python-based automation solutions for network configuration management.
• Integrating NetBox with network controllers and automating infrastructure changes.
• Building validation, testing, and deployment workflows using Ansible, Robot Framework, and GitHub Actions.
• Implementing solutions to detect and resolve configuration drift.
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Ensuring traceability, control, and reliability across network automation processes.

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong experience with Python development.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and YAML.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, including pull requests and code reviews.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Ansible, automated testing, and validation tools.
• Understanding of Data Center networking and switching concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Network automation experience.
• Knowledge of VLANs, VRFs, VXLAN/EVPN, and routing protocols.
• Experience with configuration compliance and drift detection.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco APIC, Cisco Nexus, Arista, or similar solutions.
• Experience with Robot Framework and network controller integrations.
