Extia is seeking a Mid-level Database Administrator (DBA) to join our engineering consultancy in Portugal. The role focuses on administering, maintaining, and monitoring Oracle and/or SQL databases to ensure availability and performance.

Banking sector experience is a strong plus and French is a bonus. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement migrations, optimizations, and security measures, contributing to documentation and incident management while maintaining high reliability

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator / DBA.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL.
• Experience with database administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery, high availability, and database security.
• Previous banking/financial sector experience is a strong advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, maintain, and monitor Oracle and/or SQL databases.
• Ensure database availability, performance, security, and reliability.
• Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot incidents and technical issues.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Identify and resolve database performance and capacity issues.
• Support database security, access management, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in database migration, optimization, and improvement projects.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, development, and support teams.
• Contribute to technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in incident management and continuous improvement.
• Support business-critical environments, with exposure to the banking sector being particularly valued.

• Mid-level Database Administrator (DBA) with 4+ years of professional experience


• Solid experience in database administration, maintenance, performance, and troubleshooting


• Good knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL


• Experience working with banking/financial services experience considered a strong plus


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to database performance, availability, and reliability


• French is a plus
