Empa-T, Lisbon-based, seeks a Data Scientist to join an international Insurance & Financial Services project, shaping data-driven strategies and AI-powered solutions. Design, develop, and deploy ML models; build predictive analytics; and optimize ML pipelines using Python, MLOps, LLMs, and Knowledge Graphs, translating data into actionable business insights.

Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines in a hybrid setup (Lisbon, 1x/week) and contribute to innovation initiatives and client

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with ML algorithms and model development.
• Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling and predictive analytics.
• Solid proficiency in Python and AI/ML ecosystems.
• Experience with MLOps frameworks and ML lifecycle management.
• Experience working with LLMs and Generative AI solutions.
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs and linked data technologies.
• Experience designing scalable data and AI architectures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English.

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join an international project within the Insurance & Financial Services sector, helping clients shape data-driven strategies and build innovative AI-powered solutions within a cutting-edge innovation ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients in defining and implementing data-driven and AI-focused strategies
• Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning and AI solutions to address complex business challenges
• Build predictive and analytical models to generate actionable business insights
• Develop and optimize ML pipelines and MLOps practices for scalable and reliable deployments
• Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies to create innovative solutions
• Design and implement Knowledge Graphs and Linked Data solutions to enhance data connectivity and intelligence
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and business opportunities
• Create visualizations and presentations that translate complex findings into clear business recommendations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and decision-makers to ensure successful solution adoption
• Stay up to date with the latest AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science trends, translating them into practical business applications
• Contribute to business development and pre-sales initiatives, identifying opportunities with existing and prospective clients
• Support innovation initiatives and help drive AI adoption across client organizations

Skills & Experience

• +5 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related roles
• Strong experience with Machine Learning algorithms and model development
• Experience in Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling, and Predictive Analytics
• Solid knowledge of Python and AI/ML ecosystems
• Experience with MLOps frameworks and ML lifecycle management
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions
• Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and Linked Data technologies
• Experience designing and implementing scalable data and AI architectures
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions
• Fluency in English
