Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to modernize, migrate, and maintain reliable data-platform infrastructure across cloud and enterprise environments. The role requires 3+ years of senior-level production data-platform engineering and strong Python, Bash, SQL, AWS, Snowflake and Kafka/Confluent expertise.

You will participate in migration, automation with Terraform/IaC, GitLab, and ensure secure access and running production operations.

Qualifications

3+ years of senior-level production data-platform engineering.
Strong Python, Bash and SQL skills.
Production experience with Snowflake and Kafka/Confluent.
Experience migrating production systems across environments.
Experience with least-privilege access and secure operational practices.

Responsibilities

Help migrate infrastructure and data-platform workloads to the new infra.
Move data-platform workloads to AWS us-east-2, with connectivity and deployment prerequisites.
Enable secure, governed data access for consumers and downstream systems.
Modernize data-platform architecture, tooling, and operational practices.
Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, AWS migrations and operations across stages.
Participate in production troubleshooting, runbooks, and cross-team migrations.
Use Terraform/IaC, GitLab, monitoring and documented processes for auditable changes.
