AgileEngine, Coimbra, Portugal, is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to modernize, migrate, and maintain data-platform infrastructure across cloud and enterprise environments.

The role requires 3+ years of senior production data-platform engineering, strong Python, Bash and SQL, AWS, Snowflake, and Kafka/Confluent expertise, with a focus on migration, secure access, and operations using IaC practices.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of senior-level, hands-on production data-platform engineering.
• Strong Python, Bash, and SQL skills.
• Production experience with Snowflake and Confluent/Kafka in a DevOps/operations context.
• Deep Snowflake and AWS experience with Kafka knowledge.
• Experience operating or migrating production systems across dev, stage, and prod environments.

Responsabilidades

• Migrate data-platform workloads to new infrastructure.
• Migrate to AWS us-east-2 with connectivity and deployment prerequisites.
• Ensure secure, governed data access for consumers and downstream systems.
• Modernize data-platform architecture, tooling, and operational practices.
• Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, AWS migrations and operations across environments.
• Participate in production troubleshooting, incident response, and runbook creation.
• Use Terraform/IaC and GitLab to deliver auditable changes.
