Job summary

Anonymous is seeking a Data Steward to help operate and scale our enterprise data governance framework in Lisbon, Portugal. You will ensure critical data assets are clearly defined, owned, catalogued, classified and monitored for quality, partnering with data owners, analytics teams and engineers to build trust in data across the organization.

In this role, you will define ownership and usage rules, maintain the data catalog and business glossary, set quality expectations, and drive governance

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data stewardship, governance, or analytics.
• Strong grasp of ownership, metadata, lineage, classification, and glossary management.
• Experience documenting terms, definitions, data flows and governance procedures.
• Hands-on with data cataloging or governance platforms (Unity Catalog preferred or Purview).
• Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Excel and Microsoft 365 to inspect data and validate definitions.
• Excellent English communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain data ownership, stewardship responsibilities, business terms and usage rules.
• Maintain and enrich the data catalog and glossary with metadata and lineage.
• Set data quality expectations and validation criteria with owners and engineers.
• Monitor quality issues, coordinate root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Review assets against governance standards: naming, sensitivity, access, lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops to align on definitions, ownership and quality thresholds.
• Build guidance, templates and training to drive stewardship adoption.
• Partner to embed stewardship into strategic data initiatives.
