Arrow Global Group seeks Data Stewards to join a new IT & Change group in Portugal. The role documents data journeys from source to target, helps establish standards and trust, and bridges business and technical teams.

You will maintain the Data Catalog, define data quality rules, and collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure proper data handling, acting as a subject-matter expert for datasets. Strong SQL proficiency is required; familiarity with GDPR/CCPA and financial data domains is a plus.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in a Data Governance or Data Management program.
• Familiarity with GDPR and CCPA privacy regulations.
• Background in financial data domains (IBOR/ABOR, transactions, market data, reference data).
• Experience in Real Estate, Credit, Banking, or NPL Asset Management.
• Proficiency in SQL; Python is a plus.

The primary focus of the role will be to serve as a 'good steward' of the data by documenting the journey of it from source to target and all transformations in between. The Data Steward will act as a bridge between the business and the technical team, helping to establish standards, ownership, and trust in our data assets. Ultimately, this is a key role that helps us manage and exploit data as an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Above all, the Data Steward is expected to serve as a subject-matter expert in the datasets they deal with and serve as the point of contact for them within the team

About You

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is preferable


• Proven experience in a Data Governance or Data Management program


• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)


• A background in financial data domains (IBOR/ABOR, transactions, market data, reference data)


• Strong experience within Real Estate, Credit, Banking, or NPL Asset Management


• Resourceful, motivated self-starter with the ability to collaborate across business and technology


• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills


• Ability to acquire a deep understanding of specific datasets and how they flow


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where processes are still being defined


• Proficiency in SQL is a must. Proficiency in Python is a plus
