Metyis is growing our Data and Analytics team at the Digital Campus in Porto. We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead with 5-8 years of experience to drive end-to-end data handling, pipelines, and analytics products across industries.

You will work with Azure, Python, Spark, REST APIs, and collaborate with data scientists to deliver scalable data platforms. Join a fast-growing, international team in Porto, leading architectural decisions, coaching teammates, and delivering data lakes/hubs,

Qualificações

• 5–8 years of experience in a similar role with ETL on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts (ODS, data marts, data lakes, data vault, 3NF).
• Strong understanding of cloud-based development, CI/CD workflows, and modern data platforms.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• Data governance experience and collaboration with data science teams.
• 3–5 years hands-on with Azure tools: Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Functions, streaming.
• Programming in Python (PySpark) and Bash; basic Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• People management experience (at least 2 team members).

• Lead the technical roadmap of client data platforms and analytics products.
• Architect and ensure cohesion of technical components to meet customer needs.
• Lead development and operations using Python, Spark, REST APIs, and Azure Cloud.
• Drive engineering excellence and ensure alignment with best practices and standards.
• Coach and enable team members to deliver high‑quality data products.
• Deliver data platforms, data insights, and dashboards in collaboration with data science.
• Oversee project activities and assess business needs with stakeholders.
