Empa-T is seeking a Data Engineer (SAP BO) to join an international financial services project in Lisbon. You will contribute to data architecture, reporting solutions, and evolution of enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities include developing SAP BO Universes, managing upgrades, configuring access, and designing high-performance data models and pipelines. Collaboration with business and tech teams is essential to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualificações

• +3 years of experience with SAP Business Objects (mandatory).
• Experience with SAP BO Universes creation and administration.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.
• Experience with Python.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, or Dataiku.
• Experience with data migrations, releases, and deployment processes.
• Understanding of data modelling and data architecture concepts.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and evolve SAP Business Objects Universes
• Manage SAP BO upgrades and migration activities
• Configure user groups, roles, and access restrictions within SAP BO
• Design and implement high-performance data models and pipelines
• Support database administration and performance optimization activities
• Automate deployment and release processes across environments
• Perform data migrations and ensure data quality and consistency
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and support operational activities
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions
• Contribute to data governance, reporting, and analytics initiatives

Skills & Experience

• +3 years of experience with SAP Business Objects (mandatory)
• Strong experience with SAP BO Universes creation and administration
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata
• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or Dataiku
• Experience with data migrations, releases, and deployment processes
• Understanding of data modelling and data architecture concepts
• Experience with digital product deployments is a plus
• Knowledge of third-party data governance is a plus
• Fluency in English
• French is a plus
