WE ARE META is seeking a Data Engineer specialized in GCP and French language. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and related GCP services.

You will implement ETL/ELT, data modeling, and CI/CD for reliable deployments, while collaborating with recruiters to match opportunities. The candidate should have 6+ years of Data Engineer experience, strong Python skills, and fluency in French.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of Data Engineer experience.
• Proficient in Python with production-grade code, design patterns, testing, and packaging.
• Experienced building data pipelines, data lakes and data warehouses on GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Apache Beam, Dataproc, Pub/Sub).
• Strong data modeling skills (star, snowflake, normalization).
• Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing design.
• Experience with Airflow / Cloud Composer, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to ML data prep, feature stores and MLOps principles.
• Familiar with testing practices (UAT, QA, data validation, test automation).
• French language fluency (C1).
• Hybrid work availability; based in Lisboa, Portugal.
• Portugal resident or EU work permit.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• At least 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Write production-grade Python code applying design patterns, testing, and packaging best practices to build reliable and performant data engineering solutions.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Apache Beam, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• Apply ETL/ELT concepts alongside data modeling techniques — including star schema, snowflake schema, and normalization — to design scalable and well-structured data solutions.
• Orchestrate and version-control data pipelines using Cloud Composer, Airflow, Git, and CI/CD practices to ensure reliable, reproducible deployments.
• Prepare data for machine learning use cases with working knowledge of AI prediction models, feature stores, and MLOps principles to support model development and productionization.
• Apply structured testing practices — including UAT, QA testing, data validations, and test automation — and, where applicable, leverage Spark, Databricks, Control-M, or data privacy frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Fluency in French , at least C1
• Availability for Hybrid model, 2 times a week based in Lisboa
• Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
