A recruitment agency in Portugal is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines and work with large-scale datasets. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science and over 5 years of experience in similar roles, along with expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL. Proficiency in English and Portuguese is required, and fluency in French is a plus. This role offers a hybrid working model with benefits to support relocation to Portugal.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of proven experience in Data Engineering or related roles
• Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines
• Solid knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with SQL and large-scale datasets
• Experience with modern data processing frameworks (Spark, Flink, or similar)
• Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, with a DevOps-oriented mindset
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming/data ingestion technologies
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools)
• Solid experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience working with distributed systems and scalable data architectures
• Familiarity with data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English (minimum C1 level)
• Fluency in French is a great plus
• Availability for a hybrid work model, 2-3 times a week in the Porto or Lisbon offices (requires availability to relocate to Portugal )
