We Are META is seeking a Senior Big Data Engineer to join our consulting team in a hybrid role based in Lisbon, Portugal. The ideal candidate will design and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, Hive, SQL, Kafka, and Linux, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client needs.

The position emphasizes DevOps practices, API integration, and performance optimization, with exposure to XL Release and XL Deploy.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of experience as a Senior Big Data Engineer.
• Proficient in Spark, Python, Hadoop, Hive, SQL, Kafka, and Linux.
• Familiar with DevOps, API integration, and performance optimization.
• Fluent in English, level B2.
• Hybrid work model in Lisbon, Portugal.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills

• 6 years of experience as a Senior Big Data Engineer
• Proficiency in Spark, Python, Hadoop, Hive, SQL, Kafka, and Linux for large‑scale data engineering.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, API integration, and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to deliver in fast‑paced consulting environments.
• Experience with XL Release and XL Deploy
• Fluency in English (B2)
• Availability for Hybrid model based in 2 x week in Lisbon
• Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
