We Are META is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Porto, Portugal, to design and optimize data pipelines using GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Composer) and Python. You’ll partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions that empower analytics and decision making.

Ideal candidates have 4–6+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, familiarity with SQL Server migration to BigQuery, and English (B2). Hybrid work 2x weekly in Porto or Lisbon.

Qualificações

• 4–6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong expertise in GCP services, especially BigQuery and Cloud Composer.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; experience migrating pipelines from SQL Server to BigQuery.
• Familiarity with DW concepts and Power BI is a plus.
• Fluent English (B2) and availability for hybrid work in Porto or Lisbon.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• 4-6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Mastery of GCP services — BigQuery (schema design, complex SQL, optimization), Cloud Composer (DAG orchestration), and Python scripting against GCP APIs
• Strong SQL expertise with proven ability to migrate and adapt pipelines from SQL Server (T-SQL) to BigQuery ETL/ELT workflows
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing concepts such as Data Vault modeling; exposure to Power BI a plus
• Fluency in English (B2)
• Availability for Hybrid model, 2x a week (based in Porto ou Lisboa)
• Candidate has to be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
