Job summary

Egor Group, through its IT House partner, is seeking a Data Engineer for a logistics client in Lisbon. The role is hybrid, based in Lisbon with cross-team collaboration.

You will design and operate enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate Azure and AWS data services, and work with Snowflake to deliver trustworthy data products. Fluent English is mandatory; collaboration with data scientists and IT teams is required.

Job description

IT House i is recruiting a Data Engineer for a client in the logistics sector, based in Lisbon.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade ETL and ELT pipelines for AI, analytics, reporting, and agentic workflow use cases;
• Create clean, documented, reusable data products from operational, customer, logistics, sales, and other enterprise data sources;
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, lineage, metadata, and reliability patterns to ensure datasets are trustworthy and production-ready;
• Support integrations between Azure-based AI services, Snowflake, APIs, file-based sources, and selected AWS data services;
• Work with business and AI teams to translate use case requirements into data models, pipelines, and serving layers;
• Collaborate with local IT and data owners to onboard new data sources while respecting data protection, access control, and governance requirements.

PROFILE

• Strong experience with Python, SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT development, and production data pipelines;
• Cloud-native data engineering experience, ideally on Azure, with practical AWS exposure;
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms;
• Deep understanding of data quality, orchestration, observability, access management, and governance in enterprise environments;
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, business stakeholders, and local IT teams in international settings;
• Comfortable using GenAI software engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar);
• Fluent English (mandatory).
