WE ARE META in Portugal is seeking a Data Engineer (MLOps) to join our team. This hybrid role (2x/week in Alfragide, Lisbon) combines data engineering with MLOps, focusing on scalable data pipelines and modern architectures.

You will work with GCP BigQuery, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to build, deploy, and monitor models and data products in production. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of Data Engineer / MLOps experience.
• Hands-on with GCP, BigQuery, and Lakehouse-like data architectures.
• Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions) for production deployments.
• Experience building and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines and API integrations.
• MLOps knowledge: model lifecycle, packaging, deployment and monitoring.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese (B2/C1 levels).

What we’re looking for:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer / MLOps Engineer
• Hands-on expertise with GCP (BigQuery focus) and modern data architectures (Lakehouse/Data Lake), including layered data modeling and pipeline design.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions or equivalent) for scalable, production-grade deployments.
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex data pipelines (batch & streaming), API integrations, and Monorepo-structured codebases.
• Practical MLOps knowledge covering model lifecycle management, packaging, deployment, and monitoring in production environments.
• Fluency in English (B2/C1 Level) and Portuguese (C1 Level)

Important:

This position is following a hybrid regime, 2x/week, in Alfragide (Lisbon). Candidates should be based in Portugal and have a Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit to be considered.
