Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL and Airflow or Google Cloud Composer.
• Build and optimise scalable data models in Google BigQuery.
• Create dashboards and reports using Looker, Yellowfin or similar BI tools.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define KPIs and analytics requirements.

As a Data & Analytics Engineer, you will bridge the gap between data engineering and business intelligence. You will design and develop robust data pipelines, structure data in Google BigQuery and create the semantic and visualisation layers that make data accessible to business users.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reliable ETL and ELT pipelines using Python, SQL and Airflow or Google Cloud Composer
• Build and optimise scalable data models in Google BigQuery
• Apply data‑modelling concepts such as star schemas, snowflake schemas and dimensional modelling
• Develop data transformations and analytics‑ready datasets for downstream consumption
• Translate complex data structures into intuitive semantic layers and visualisations
• Create dashboards and reports with Looker, Yellowfin or comparable BI tools
• Work closely with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define relevant KPIs
• Turn business requirements into practical analytics solutions and actionable insights
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architectures, engineering standards and best practices
• Use Databricks and Apache Spark where appropriate for advanced data processing and lakehouse scenarios
• Document technical solutions, data models and operational processes

Your profile

• Professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence or a comparable role
• Strong knowledge of Python and advanced SQL skills
• Practical experience developing ETL and ELT pipelines
• Experience with Apache Airflow or Google Cloud Composer
• Hands‑on experience with Google BigQuery and modern data‑warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of data modelling, including star and snowflake schemas
• Experience with Looker, Yellowfin or another enterprise BI and visualisation tool
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks is an advantage
• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark or lakehouse architectures is a plus
• A structured, analytical and solution‑oriented approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Fluent English and Portuguese; German is an advantage
• Enjoyment of working with customers and collaborating across technical and business teams
