emagine seeks a Data Analytics Engineer in Portugal to bridge business needs with cloud data platforms. You will design scalable data models and ETL/ELT processes within Google Cloud, focusing on BigQuery and Looker. Collaboration with stakeholders is key to delivering analytics-ready data and AI-ready capabilities.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in Data/Data Analytics roles, strong SQL, and experience with dimensional modelling. Hybrid Lisbon presence and Git version control are prized assets.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or similar roles.
• Advanced SQL expertise.
• Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery.
• Solid experience with dimensional data modelling (Star Schema and Snowflake).
• Proficiency with Looker and LookerML.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Strong ability to understand business processes and translate business requirements into data models, metrics, and KPIs.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders such as Product, Finance, or Operations teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proactive, autonomous, and ownership-driven mindset.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimise data solutions within Google BigQuery, including query optimisation, partition management, and business logic implementation.
• Design and implement dimensional data models (Star Schema and Snowflake) to support reporting and self-service analytics.
• Develop and maintain semantic models using Looker/LookerML to enable autonomous business consumption of data.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity through testing, validation, and documentation.
• Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer across teams.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to deliver high-quality data solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's cloud data platform and analytical capabilities.

Emagine is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join a collaborative and dynamic project environment in Portugal. This role is ideal for a professional with 3 to 6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Business Intelligence, looking to bridge business needs with modern cloud-based data platforms within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.

You will play a key role in transforming complex business requirements into robust, scalable data models ready for analytics and business consumption. Working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, you will design and optimize data structures to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility, while supporting advanced analytical use cases, including AI-driven solutions.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse, and validate business requirements, translating them into scalable data models and analytical solutions.

• Candidates must be based in Portugal.
• Hybrid regime — 2 to 3 days per week on-site in Lisbon.
