Job summary

Decskill is growing and seeking a Data Analyst to join our securities settlement team. You will monitor settlements, reconcile accounts, and support cross-border transactions, leveraging Excel and Outlook daily.

We value accuracy, teamwork, and risk awareness as you collaborate with global custodians and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely information flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in banking and financial operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure settlement of securities transactions and related products.
• Coordinate with clients, custodians, and global teams on market instructions.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations between systems and custodians.
• Reconcile discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage stock forecasts, including cross-border transactions.
• Keep reference data up to date with relevant teams.
• Minimise settlement costs and operational risk.
• Support securities settlement department operations.
• Inform Team Leader about client activity and escalate issues.
• Keep procedures up to date and follow checklists.
• Respond to emails and queries accurately and promptly.
• Support pre- and post-settlement activities, clearing, custody, and related accounting.

We would like to meet a Data Analyst!

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure the settlement of securities transactions and associated products.
• Follow up on international market instructions received from clients until settlement, coordinating with local and global custodians.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations between internal systems and local custodians.
• Reconcile discrepancies and ensure the timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Manage stock forecasts, including cross-border transactions, and instruct and record fail coverage borrowings.
• Ensure that reference data is up to date in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Contribute to minimising settlement costs and operational risks.
• Support the overall efficient running of the Securities Settlement Department.
• Keep the Team Leader informed about client activity and elevate issues whenever appropriate.
• Keep procedures up to date and ensure tasks are completed in accordance with established checklists.
• Respond to emails and queries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support pre- and post-settlement activities, clearing, custody, relevant legal documentation, and transaction- and event-related accounting for securities within scope.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in banking and financial operations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Client-focused mindset and awareness of risk management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Ability to understand, explain, and support change.
