Job summary

Bitfinex is seeking an AML Investigations Specialist to efficiently investigate referrals of unusual activity and support timely SAR submissions within regulatory timelines. You will work with the Compliance team and Customer Support, contributing to the firm’s robust anti-money laundering framework.

You will engage with blockchain analytics tools and collaborate with legal and customer teams to mitigate risks, while continuously developing investigative skills in a fast-paced, remote-friendly

Qualifications

• University education preferred.
• Experience in an investigative function.
• Experience using blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic.
• AML/CTF/Sanctions investigations and SAR/STR reporting experience.
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technology.
• CAMS/CBP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and adjudicate referrals of unusual activity to assess risk and SAR filing within regulatory timelines.
• Provide investigative support to Customer Help Desk / Legal Team.
• Communicate with customers, agents and internal attorneys as applicable.
