Hexa Group in Lisbon is seeking a Mid FinOps Consultant and Azure Architect to optimize cloud cost, architecture, and governance. You will analyze Azure environments, design cost-efficient architectures, and quantify savings for the business.

In this hybrid role based in Lisbon, you will work with technical and management stakeholders, deliver dashboards and cost reports, and drive cost governance through policy and best practices. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of Azure experience with design responsibilities.
• Experience in cloud cost optimization or FinOps activities.
• Ability to conduct analysis autonomously from assessment to recommendation.
• Analytical mindset linking architecture decisions to finances.
• Fluency in Portuguese and professional English for technical documentation.
• Hybrid work in Lisbon with occasional client-facing presence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Azure environments to identify cost drivers and optimization opportunities.
• Design optimized Azure architectures with estimated savings and risk.
• Recommend cost optimization actions such as rightsizing, autoscaling, storage tiering.
• Define commitment strategies using Reservations, Savings Plans and Azure Hybrid Benefit.

FinOps Consultant and Azure Architect | Mid

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Mid FinOps Consultant and Azure Architect to support a cloud and technology services environment, focused on Azure cost analysis, architecture optimization and measurable financial impact. This role combines technical architecture, FinOps practices, governance and stakeholder advisory, with a hybrid work model based in Lisbon.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Analyze Azure environments across compute, storage, networking, PaaS, databases and AKS to identify cost drivers and optimization opportunities.
• - Design and document optimized Azure architectures, including estimated savings, implementation effort and associated risk.
• - Recommend cost optimization actions such as rightsizing, autoscaling, storage tiering, orphaned resource removal, IaaS to PaaS migration and resource consolidation.
• - Define commitment strategies using Reservations, Savings Plans and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
• - Support cost allocation models through tagging, subscription structure, management groups, showback and chargeback approaches.
• - Produce dashboards, cost reports, budgets, alerts and forecasts to support service reporting and decision-making.
• - Propose cost governance guardrails using Azure Policy.
• - Present findings and recommendations in service follow-up sessions with technical and management stakeholders.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• - 3 to 5 years of experience in Azure, including solution design and architecture responsibilities.
• - Practical experience in cloud cost optimization or FinOps activities.
• - Ability to conduct analysis autonomously from assessment to recommendation.
• - Analytical mindset, connecting architecture decisions with financial impact.
• - Strong written, verbal and presentation skills for technical teams and management stakeholders.
• - Fluency in Portuguese and professional working proficiency in English for technical documentation and interaction with technology providers.
• - Rigor, organization, accountability and availability for hybrid work in Lisbon and occasional client-facing presence when required.
