Decskill, a growing IT consulting company with offices in Lisbon and Porto, seeks a Senior FinOps & Cloud System Engineer. You will lead cloud cost optimization across Azure, AWS, and GCP, promote FinOps practices, and collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Operations to design efficient multi-cloud solutions.

You will develop automation for cost data, monitor utilization, and provide analyses to drive continuous improvements in a cross-functional team.

Qualificações

• Up to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Agile, Jira, and Confluence.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience optimizing cloud solutions in public cloud.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and promote Cloud FinOps best practices across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization; identify waste and anomalies.
• Develop automation for collecting, analyzing, and processing cloud usage and cost data.
• Support Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams in adopting efficient cloud architectures.
• Identify and execute cost optimization initiatives (rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans).
• Contribute to evolution of FinOps strategy.
• Produce technical analyses and recommendations for cloud platform improvements.
• Act as technical reference for efficiency, governance, and optimization in multi-cloud.
• Create, maintain, review detailed technical documentation.

Responsabilities:

• Implement and promote Cloud FinOps best practices across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization by identifying waste, cost anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop automation for collecting, analyzing, and processing cloud usage and cost data.
• Support Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams in adopting efficient and sustainable cloud architectures.
• Identify and execute cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cleanup of unused resources.
• Contribute to the evolution of the organization's FinOps strategy.
• Produce technical analyses and recommendations for the continuous improvement of cloud platforms.
• Act as the technical reference for efficiency, governance, and optimization in multi-cloud environments.
• Create, maintain, and review detailed technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Up to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, Jira, and Confluence (preferred).
• Proven hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience optimizing solutions deployed in public cloud environments.
• Practical knowledge of cloud cost management tools, ideally CloudHealth.

One of the following cloud certifications Plus:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
