Ryan, LLC is seeking a VAT Consultant in Portugal to deliver VAT compliance services for diverse clients across multiple jurisdictions. The role involves liaising with clients and tax authorities, preparing declarations, and providing advisory communications in English and German.
The ideal candidate holds a law/management/economics degree and is fluent in English and German, with strong MS Office skills. A dynamic, flexible work environment and strong growth opportunities are offered.
Consultants provide VAT compliance services and advice to a wide range of clients operating across sectors and countries. They work continually to help ensure their clients make informed business decisions in light of VAT changes and developments. They monitor and anticipate changes to VAT legislation and respond quickly with advice specific to their clients’ compliance requirements. They focus on preparing and submitting VAT declarations in countries where clients conduct strategic transactions. They are also responsible for managing client relationships, communicating with clients and tax authorities in several countries, and monitoring and following up on related processes. The position requires the ability to work with clients and tax authorities in several jurisdictions, as well as the technical VAT knowledge needed to provide VAT services to clients in multiple countries.
