Job summary

The Lakhani Group in Portugal is seeking a commercially minded and technically competent Construction Project Manager. You will own projects from client-side perspective, focusing on technical project management, rigorous financial control, and procurement support.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, BOQs, tendering, procurement, and ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards. You will report progress and forecast costs to management.

Qualifications

• Strong construction background with solid commercial and financial acumen.
• Hands-on budget management and cost control experience.
• Auditing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and subcontractor tendering.
• Active technical support in procurement and contract negotiation.
• Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual construction projects from planning through completion.
• Control project budgets and cost plans; monitor variances vs budgets.
• Prepare and review BOQs and quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate tendering process and review subcontractor quotations.
• Negotiate subcontractor pricing and recommend appointments.
• Support procurement with technical knowledge for sourcing materials.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality.
