Location: Portugal, with the possibility to work remotely
We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead our compliance function and oversee our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 56001 and ISO 27001), keeping the company aligned with its legal, regulatory and contractual obligations across the geographies in which we operate.
A solid background in ISO 9001 or in a compliance role is the core requirement; familiarity with ISO 27001 and/or ISO 56001 is welcome but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain current IMS documentation, including policies, procedures, records and templates.
- Plan and coordinate internal audits to help assess compliance and system effectiveness.
- Help monitor compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 56001 and ISO 27001 requirements, including controls applied to suppliers and outsourced services.
- Support the integration of the three standards, contributing to consistency and alignment across quality, innovation and information security processes.
- Manage internal communication so that system changes and updates are clearly shared with staff and stakeholders.
- Prepare for and support external certification audits, including evidence gathering and audit coordination.
- Track and help resolve nonconformities, audit findings and improvement actions.
- Support management reviews with updated performance reports, compliance data and proposals for improvement.
- Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and best practice across the IMS.
- Maintain a register of legal, regulatory and contractual obligations applicable to the company in each jurisdiction in which we operate, and track changes that may affect the business.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, external counsel and local partners on jurisdiction specific compliance matters.
- Support data protection and information security compliance, including alignment with GDPR and equivalent frameworks in other geographies.
- Report regularly to Top Management on the company's overall compliance posture, key risks and proposed improvement actions.
Applicants should:
- Hold a higher education degree in Quality Management or a related field (preferred).
- Demonstrate experience implementing or coordinating ISO 9001, or equivalent compliance experience; familiarity with ISO 27001 and/or ISO 56001 is an advantage.
- Understand quality management systems and be able to plan, conduct, and support internal and external audits.
- Be able to prepare compliance documentation, reports, and operational procedures, and communicate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrate strong coordination, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Work well with diverse stakeholders, showing adaptability, collaboration, and clear communication skills.
- Have good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
Working hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
