Job summary

Revolut in Portugal is seeking a Collections Manager to shape in-country debt collection processes for retail portfolios. You will lead end-to-end collections activities, align with regulatory requirements, and drive performance across in-house and DCA partnerships.

You’ll build scalable, compliant workflows, document policies, and use data-driven insights to improve recoveries. This role blends risk, operations, and analytics to support growth across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in debt collection and recoveries in retail banking, fintech, or DCA.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
• Experience creating and documenting collections processes.
• Understanding of debt portfolio management, debt sales, and debt restructuring.
• Knowledge of credit products, local debt collection laws, and relevant regulations.
• Great performance and relationship management skills with third-party service providers.
• A highly analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity and a drive to identify and implement improvements to automate wherever possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliant and effective debt collections processes.
• Ensure collections process is efficient and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
• Owning and managing the end-to-end debt collections process for retail credit portfolios.
• Optimising in-house and outsourced collection capability with best-in-class contact and cure rates, using the latest technology and analytics.
• Documenting policies and procedures for debt collection and recoveries.
• Developing, managing, and refining collection strategies to optimise recoveries.
• Continuously improving collection processes, metrics, and tools.
• Effectively selecting and overseeing debt collection agencies (DCAs) to ensure SLA adherence.
