Job summary

Revolut Porto is seeking a Collections Manager to build and oversee in-country debt collection processes for retail credit portfolios. You will lead a team, drive compliant collection strategies, optimise performance, and scale capabilities with data analytics and strategic partnerships with agencies.

The role requires 5+ years in debt collection or recoveries, fluency in English and Portuguese, and strong knowledge of local laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in debt collection or recoveries in retail banking, fintech, or DCA.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
• Experience creating and documenting collections processes.
• Solid understanding of debt portfolio management, debt sales, and debt restructuring.
• Knowledge of credit products, local debt collection laws, and relevant regulations.
• Strong performance and relationship management with third-party providers.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity to automate processes where possible.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development of compliant and effective debt collections processes.
• Ensuring the collections process is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
• Owning end-to-end debt collections process for retail credit portfolios.
• Optimising in-house and outsourced collection capability with analytics and technology.
• Documenting policies and procedures for debt collection and recoveries.
• Developing and refining collection strategies to optimise recoveries.
• Continuously improving collection processes, metrics, and tools.
• Overseeing debt collection agencies to ensure SLA adherence.
