Quanteam - Portugal (Rainbow Partners Group) is seeking a Collateral Management Officer to calculate and manage daily margin calls, monitor exposures, and ensure timely collateral settlements. You will work with Front, Middle, Risk and Settlement teams to resolve breaks and optimize processes in a hybrid Lisbon setting.

The ideal candidate has a finance/market degree and 4+ years in collateral management, with strong analytical and stakeholder skills. English required; French a plus.

Qualificações

• Degree in Finance, Financial Markets, Economics or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Collateral Management in banking/financial services.
• Strong knowledge of collateral management, margining and counterparty risk.
• Good understanding of financial markets and products including derivatives and securities financing.
• Solid knowledge of Front-to-Back operational processing chain.

Responsabilidades

• Calculate and manage daily margin calls and collateral settlements.
• Monitor counterparty exposures across portfolios and reconcile with counterparties.
• Investigate valuation or position discrepancies and resolve breaks.
• Collaborate with Front/Middle Office, Risk and Settlement teams to resolve issues.
• Process and report collateral movements and related reporting.
• Respond to collateral and market activity requests from counterparties and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of collateral management processes and controls.

We are looking for a Collateral Management Officer

MAIN TASKS

Calculate and manage daily margin calls, including notifications and collateral settlements. Monitor and control counterparty exposures across securities and cash collateral portfolios. Reconcile portfolios with counterparties and investigate valuation or position discrepancies. Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk and Settlement teams to resolve breaks and operational issues. Monitor and clear cash suspense accounts within the defined scope. Respond to requests from counterparties and internal stakeholders regarding collateral and market activities. Ensure timely processing and follow-up of collateral movements and related reporting. Contribute to the continuous improvement of collateral management processes and controls.

YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS

• Degree in Finance, Financial Markets, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Collateral Management within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of collateral management processes, margining and counterparty risk management.
• Good understanding of financial markets and products, including derivatives and securities financing activities.
• Solid knowledge of the Front-to-Back operational processing chain.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AI-powered productivity tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English (and French is a plus).
• Availability for an initial training period abroad and occasional business travel.
• Hybrid work model based in Lisbon.
