Quanteam, the founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, is seeking a Securities Settlement Analyst in Lisbon. You will monitor and settle securities, reconcile cash and positions, and resolve discrepancies while maintaining documentation.

You will develop automation solutions using Python, VBA and Power BI, with an emphasis on data analysis and process improvements, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualificações

• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Banking or a related field.
• Interest in Securities Operations, Settlement, Reconciliation, Trade Support or Banking Operations.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Hybrid position based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate discrepancies and pending/failed settlements; coordinate with teams.

We are looking for a Securities Settlement Analyst

Our core areas:

• Monitor and ensure the settlement of securities transactions and associated products.
• Perform cash and securities position reconciliations between internal systems and local custodians.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to transactions, cash movements and securities positions.
• Ensure that relevant reference and static data is accurate and up to date.
• Follow up on pending or failed settlement operations and coordinate with relevant teams when required.
• Maintain and update relevant documentation related to securities settlement processes.
• Respond to operational queries and emails accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Support transaction and event-related accounting processes for securities within scope.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate repetitive operational processes.
• Develop and implement automation solutions using tools such as Python, VBA and Power BI.
• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Banking or a related field.
• Previous experience or strong interest in Securities Operations, Settlement, Reconciliation, Trade Support, Middle/Back Office or Banking Operations.
• Good understanding of financial markets and securities transactions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate discrepancies and operational issues.
• Good knowledge of Excel; VBA, Python and/or Power BI are considered a strong plus.
• Interest in data analysis and process automation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high volumes of financial data.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and international financial environment.
• Hybrid position based in Lisbon.
• This role offers a gross annual salary between 15.000€ to 24.500€, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
