Axians is seeking a COBOL Developer to join an international financial services project. You will contribute to development, maintenance, and modernization of high-volume COBOL applications, collaborating with business and technical teams to translate requirements into robust solutions and drive innovation through automation and AI-assisted techniques.

You will analyze requirements, develop and test COBOL components, review legacy code, and ensure security, quality, and regulatory compliance

Qualificações

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Micro Focus COBOL.
• Experience with maintaining and enhancing legacy applications.
• Knowledge of modern software development best practices and ALM.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements and translate to technical specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications for critical operations.
• Refactor code to ensure stability and business continuity.
• Collaborate across business and technical teams through the SDLC.
• Design, develop and execute unit/integration tests.
• Support QA activities and defect resolution.
• Promote modern development practices, automation, and monitoring.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage source control.
• Produce technical documentation and ensure compliance.
