ITDS Portugal is seeking a Senior COBOL Developer to join a Lisbon-based banking tech team. You will work on core COBOL banking applications, contributing to reliability, performance and security within a hybrid work setup.

In this role you'll analyze requirements with BAs and Tech Leads, implement COBOL solutions, perform testing, support UAT, and ensure compliance with client standards. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in COBOL with DB2/SQL, JCL, and CICS, strong English, and

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of COBOL, DB2/SQL, JCL and CICS programming.
• Over 3 years of system analysis and design experience.
• Excellent English (B2) level for effective communication.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and enhance COBOL-based banking applications to ensure operational excellence.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into high-quality COBOL programs.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Technical Leads to deliver robust solutions.
• Conduct system and unit testing, creating test documentation and executing test cases.
• Support clients during User Acceptance Testing to ensure seamless deployment.
• Adhere to strict client standards, processes, quality, and security protocols.
• Provide technical support during various testing phases and assist in knowledge transfer to junior team members.
