ALTEN is seeking a Business Manager to join its Financial Sector team in Portugal. You will oversee a business unit, serving as the liaison between clients, technical teams and cross-functional areas, and drive growth through new client acquisition and strategic project oversight.

The role requires 3–5 years in project management or business development, knowledge of technologies, and fluent English. A dynamic, growth-oriented environment with health insurance and flexible benefits is offered.

Qualificações

• Experience in financial or technology sector is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a unit and act as the contact point between clients, technical teams and cross-functional areas.
• Drive business development: prospect, identify opportunities and attract new clients in the financial sector.
• Manage projects and profitability: monitor offers, prepare budgets, control P&L and analyze margins.
• Collaborate with Recruitment Department and People Managers to define needs, select consultants and supervise their career.
• Coordinate technology projects with Technical Direction to ensure quality, compliance and satisfaction.

We are looking for a Business Manager to join our Financial Sector team.

What will you do on a daily basis?

As a Business Manager, you will have a comprehensive overview of the business, leading a unit and acting as the point of contact between clients, technical teams and cross-functional areas.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Business development: commercial prospecting, identifying opportunities and attracting new clients in the financial sector.
• Project management and profitability: monitoring offers, preparing budgets, controlling P&L and analyzing margins.
• In collaboration with Recruitment Department and People Managers, defining needs, selecting consultants and supervising their professional career in the company.
• Client relations: in collaboration with Technical Direction, coordinating and supervising technology projects, ensuring quality, compliance and satisfaction.
• Leadership and strategy: driving the growth of your unit through efficient management of resources and objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in project management or business development, preferably in the technology sector.
• Knowledge of technologies and tech solutions.
• Previous experience in the financial or technology sector is an advantage.
• Communication and negotiation skills and a results-oriented approach.
• Fluent level of English
