Job summary

Smart Consulting is seeking a Business Analyst to join an international Banking and Financial Services project in Lisbon. You will work on requirements gathering, functional analysis, data validation, and the creation of functional specifications and use cases.

Strong SQL skills and French at B2 level are mandatory, along with solid communication and collaboration across teams. The role focuses on analyzing processes, identifying improvements, and supporting functional testing to ensure data

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience in requirements gathering and functional analysis.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including queries, JOINs, subqueries, filters and aggregations.
• Experience in data analysis and validation.
• Ability to analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Experience in functional testing and validating data quality and consistency.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications, use cases and documentation.
• French proficiency at B2 level or above, both written and spoken (mandatory).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with functional and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Analyze business processes to identify improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
• Create functional specifications, use cases and complete documentation for IT teams.
