Zusammenfassung

UPS in Porto is seeking a Permanent Administrative role in the Brokerage department to support customs duties, taxes, and clearance for international shipments. You will coordinate arrivals, communicate with Customs, and prepare reports while assisting the overnight team and maintaining accuracy under deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have customs exposure, Portuguese fluency, and MS Office skills, plus an eye for problem-solving in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifikationen

• Customs certification preferred
• Previous experience in a customs environment
• Intermediate level of English (B1), both written and spoken, preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Fluent Portuguese language skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Working hours: Tuesday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Aufgaben

• Perform general brokerage tasks and assess duties and taxes for international package imports.
• Prepare and coordinate the necessary arrangements for aircraft/truck arrivals and the related communications with Customs.
• Ensure that customs duties and tax assessments comply with local customs and tax regulations.
• Contact customers when necessary to obtain the information required for customs clearance of shipments.
• Prepare reports and support the supervisor in managing and organizing the overnight team.
• Resolve issues related to customs declarations and cargo manifests.
• Perform other technical and administrative duties related to the role.
