team.it is seeking a Senior Backup Expert to join our Lisbon-based hybrid team. You will lead hands-on administration of IBM Storage Protect (TSM) v8+ and TSM DB2, ensuring robust backup, recovery, and performance across large-scale environments.

Key tasks include managing tape libraries, NDMP and S3 backup protocols, and scripting in Bash, KornShell, SQL, and Python. You will collaborate in Agile, ITIL-driven processes, and provide L3 support for complex infrastructure challenges.

Qualificações

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Storage Protect (TSM) v8+ administration and support.
• Proven expertise in TSM DB2 administration, maintenance, recovery, and performance optimization.
• Solid experience managing enterprise backup and recovery solutions in large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of AIX and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with tape libraries, tape management technologies, storage pools, and retention policies.
• Hands-on experience with Storage Protect for Virtual Environments, VMware backup, and recovery processes.
• Knowledge of NDMP, S3 backup protocols, and enterprise storage integration.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash, KornShell, SQL, and Python.
• Experience with RMAN, TDP, and backup solutions for enterprise databases and applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex backup, recovery, and infrastructure issues at L3 support level.
• Experience with monitoring, automation, and operational optimization initiatives.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management, change management, and service operations.
• Experience working within Agile environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Support and optimize enterprise backup infrastructures in large environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation and monitoring initiatives.

• Experience supporting geographically distributed backup infrastructures.
• Relevant certifications in IBM Storage Protect, backup technologies, or enterprise storage solutions.
