Alpineo Consulting is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to join our Infrastructure team in Lisbon, Portugal. You will ensure availability, integrity, and recoverability of business-critical data across a multi-site environment, including administration of IBM Storage Protect (TSM) servers and related DB2 databases.

You will work with Infrastructure teams across Network, Wintel, Security, and DBA groups, and contribute to backup strategy enhancements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar storage/backup role.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional English level (B2-C1).

Responsabilidades

• Ensure data backup, protection, and recoverability across a multi-site environment.
• Manage backup storage pools and retention policies.
• Monitor backup infrastructure health and performance.
• Perform backup validation, recovery testing, and data restoration activities.
• Troubleshoot backup and recovery issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Maintain integrity and availability of backup services.
• Administer and maintain IBM Storage Protect servers (TSM).
• Manage TSM DB2 databases including maintenance, recovery, and performance optimization.
• Support backup environments on AIX and Linux.
• Manage Storage Protect for Virtual Environments (VE) and VMware integrations.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and documentation.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Storage Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and recoverability of business-critical data across a multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that data is properly protected, backed up, and recoverable across a 3-site environment.
• Manage backup storage pools and retention policies.
• Monitor backup infrastructure health and performance.
• Perform backup validation, recovery testing, and data restoration activities.
• Troubleshoot backup and recovery issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Maintain the integrity and availability of backup and recovery services.

Storage Protect Administration

• Administer and maintain approximately 10 IBM Storage Protect (TSM) servers in a production environment.
• Perform day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support activities.
• Manage TSM DB2 databases, including maintenance, recovery, and performance optimization.
• Support backup environments running on AIX and Linux platforms.
• Manage Storage Protect for Virtual Environments (VE) and VMware integrations.
• Develop and maintain operational scripts and automation solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Propose and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and service quality.
• Contribute to backup and recovery strategy enhancements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Infrastructure teams, including:
• Network
• Wintel
• Security
• Partner with DBA teams on database backup and recovery requirements.
• Provide process training and knowledge transfer to business stakeholders and users.
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional English level (B2-C1).
