Dwelly, a UK-based AI-enabled lettings and property-management platform, is hiring a Backend Engineer with strong applied ML experience to build production systems for extracting, enriching and summarising information from emails and documents. You will develop robust Python services around NLP, retrieval, and LLM workflows.

You will translate prototypes into scalable, observable production systems, measuring quality and improving systems through feedback loops in a fully remote role.

Qualificações

• Strong Python backend experience.
• Experience with API frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Production experience with NLP/ML, information extraction, retrieval or summarisation systems.

Responsabilidades

• Build systems that extract structured data from emails, documents and other unstructured sources.
• Enrich client records with information from communication history.
• Develop solutions that summarise a client’s email history and surface context inside Dwelly.
• Build production NLP/ML-backed backend services with reliable error handling and observability.
• Improve retrieval and ranking systems using RAG, BM25, embeddings and hybrid search.
• Define quality metrics and evaluation datasets for extraction, summarisation and retrieval.
