Ytech is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level AI / Machine Learning Engineer in Portugal. You will work on practical ML challenges including document processing, NLP, and LLMs, collaborating with a Senior AI Engineer and Software team.

You will build training pipelines, experiment with different approaches, and contribute to production-ready AI features, with a focus on performance, reliability, and clear documentation.

Qualificações

• 1–4 years of professional experience in AI/ML, NLP, or related field.
• Strong Python skills and maintainable, testable code.
• Experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare datasets and build training, fine-tuning, and evaluation pipelines.
• Train, fine-tune, test, and improve NLP models and language models.
• Work with transformer models, embeddings, and information extraction systems.
• Build PoCs and evaluate multiple approaches to complex AI problems.
• Experiment with AI Agents, tool-calling workflows, and agent loops.
• Measure and improve model quality, latency, and cost.
• Collaborate with Senior AI Engineer and Software team; document findings.
