Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Backend Engineer, Solving in Portugal to build and maintain core systems powering cross‑chain transactions. You will develop pricing, routing, and settlement components, interfacing with DEXs and liquidity venues, primarily using TypeScript and Node.js.

The role offers ownership and autonomy to shape infrastructure for scalable DeFi payments, with remote‑first collaboration across teams focused on reliability, observability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Backend systems design and maintenance with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience integrating with on-chain protocols and DEX quotes.
• Understanding of DeFi fundamentals (AMMs, liquidity pools, MEV).
• Ability to design multi-stage processing pipelines (detection, pricing, execution, settlement).
• Focus on reliability, error handling, observability, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve core quote-generation and pricing engine.
• Integrate with DEXs and aggregators (1inch, LiFi, Uniswap).
• Own end-to-end transaction pipelines from detection to settlement.
• Improve reliability with monitoring, alerting, and incident triage (Datadog).
• Resolve execution failures and bottlenecks including gas considerations.
• Collaborate with protocol engineering for settlement primitives.
