Job summary

Joom Group in Lisbon is hiring Lead Backend Developers to join Joom Marketplace Solutions. You will architect backend services, implement Go-based solutions, and mentor a team of 3–6 developers while ensuring fault tolerance in AWS and readiness for growing data volumes.

We value strong algorithm skills and proficiency in Go/Java/Kotlin/C++/Python/Scala, with experience in Linux, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Elasticsearch and Redis.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading and developing a backend team by recruiting, hiring, and training new team members.
• Confident knowledge of at least one of the programming languages: Go/Java/Kotlin/C++/Python/Scala.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and high-load systems.
• Experience with MongoDB and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Come up with architecture and program in Go; strong algorithms skills are valued.
• Provide fault tolerance for coded services in an AWS environment.
• Handle increasing data loads and volumes; participate in new feature discussions.
• Mentor and manage a backend team of 3–6 developers.

Through technical integration, we give our partners access to millions of products from our sellers and take care of the entire order fulfillment process end to end. Tech stack: Go, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, AWS, Redis, Jenkins. Frontend: Node.js, React, TypeScript, Rush

• Come up with architecture Program in Go (Go is not a must for us; it is more important for a successful candidate to have solid algorithm skills, fundamental technical knowledge, and great coding skills in general)
• Provide fault tolerance for coded services in an AWS environment
• Be prepared for a constant increase of processed and stored data loads and volumes
• Participate in new feature and product development discussions
• Managing and mentoring a backend team of 3-6 developers
