Joom Marketplace Solutions in Lisbon, Portugal, seeks Lead Backend Developers to shape architecture and scale services. You’ll guide a backend team and contribute across Go, data structures, and system design for a high-volume marketplace.

You’ll work in a global, AI-forward environment with AWS deployments and a stack including Go, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Redis, Jenkins, and frontend tech. Office-first with flexible remote days.

Qualificações

• Experience in leading and developing a backend team by recruiting, hiring, and training new team members.
• Confident knowledge of one of the programming languages: Go/Java/Kotlin/C++/Python/Scala.
• Complex project development experience.
• Excellent algorithmic training.
• Experience in development for Linux/Unix.

We are currently looking for Lead Backend Developers to join the Joom Marketplace Solutions.

Joom Marketplace Solutions is a platform that allows Joom to go beyond its own marketplace and offer its solutions to other players in the market. Through technical integration, we give our partners access to millions of products from our sellers and take care of the entire order fulfillment process end to end.

Tech stack: Go, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, AWS, Redis, Jenkins.Frontend: Node.js, React, TypeScript, Rush

Responsibilities

• Come up with architecture
• Program in Go (Go is not a must for us; it is more important for a successful candidate to have solid algorithm skills, fundamental technical knowledge, and great coding skills in general)
• Provide fault tolerance for coded services in an AWS environment
• Be prepared for a constant increase of processed and stored data loads and volumes
• Participate in new feature and product development discussions
• Managing and mentoring a backend team of 3–6 developers
