Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking an Azure DevOps & .NET Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications in a hybrid Lisbon-based setup. You will build scalable REST APIs, data pipelines, and CI/CD workflows while collaborating with international teams.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architecture, security, and compliance, with an onboarding program and ongoing learning opportunities in a multilingual, global environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in .NET Development, Azure Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, and Entity Framework.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure including Functions, Durable Functions, and Data Platform concepts.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML, and Git.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
• Strong SQL Server knowledge and data-intensive processing experience.
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation pipelines, and SAP-origin datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise applications using .NET and Azure Cloud Services.
• Build and maintain scalable REST APIs and integration services.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Pipelines, and YAML.
• Modernize legacy apps toward cloud-native architectures and improve security/compliance.
• Collaborate across development, DevOps, data engineering, security, and operations teams.

• 7+ years of experience in .NET Development, Azure Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing enterprise applications using .NET Core / .NET 6+, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, and Entity Framework.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
• Azure Functions and Durable Functions
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, including:
• YAML

• Infrastructure as Code using Bicep
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and experience building and supporting data-intensive applications and data transformation processes.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Experience integrating and processing enterprise data sources, including SAP-originated datasets and snapshots.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, including:
• OOP
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Design Patterns
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating solutions towards scalable cloud-native architectures.

• Azure certifications such as:
• AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert)
• Experience with:
• Azure Data Lake and modern Azure Data Platform concepts
• Banking, Risk, or Financial Services environments
• Experience using:
• Unit Testing frameworks
• Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Mocking frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud governance, compliance frameworks, and secure-by-design principles.
• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications using .NET and Azure Cloud Services.
• Develop and maintain solutions leveraging Azure Functions, Durable Functions, and SQL Server.
• Design and implement scalable REST APIs and integration services.
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Modernize and refactor applications toward cloud-native and data-intensive architectures.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and YAML.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement security, compliance, identity management, and platform governance controls.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, technical improvements, and continuous innovation initiatives.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, security, and data engineering teams following Agile methodologies.
