Preh Portugal (Trofa) is seeking an Automotive Project Quality Engineer to join our team, serving as the quality interface with customers and ensuring excellence from development to series production.

You will support APQP activities, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams while applying IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Management Engineering or similar field.
• Experience in automotive quality domain.
• Knowledge of Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English; German a plus.
• MS Office proficiency; Power BI and SAP QM experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support APQP activities, FMEA workshops, Control Plans, and new product quality planning.
• Manage customer complaints using 8D and other problem-solving methods.
• Coordinate root cause analysis, corrective actions and containment with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation per customer requirements.
• Participate in customer audits and support product/process changes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance and customer satisfaction.

• Coordinate root cause analysis, corrective actions, and containment measures with cross-functional teams
• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation according to customer requirements
• Participate in customer audits and support product and process change management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance and customer satisfaction

What You Bring to the Table

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Management Engineering, or a similar field
• Experience in the automotive industry, preferably within Quality
• Knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA) and quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good command of MS Office; Power BI and SAP QM area plus Fluency in English;
• German is an advantage
