Flora Food Group is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead automation projects across our production lines at Santa Iria de Azoia. You will design, test, and commission automation systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency on a busy food manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation or Electrical Engineering, hands-on shop floor experience, PLC programming skills, and Portuguese fluency (English valued).

What you’ll do

• Lead the design, development, testing, and commissioning of automation projects that enhance production efficiency.

• Interpret and create precise electrical circuits, diagrams, and technical documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.

You will own the delivery of automation projects that reduce downtime and increase production reliability. This role reports to the Factory Maintenance Manager and works within a dedicated Automation Department. You will collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure sustainable and safe automation practices.
