Job summary

Flora Food Group is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead automation projects across our production lines at Santa Iria de Azoia. You will design, test, and commission automation systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency on a busy food manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation or Electrical Engineering, hands-on shop floor experience, PLC programming skills, and Portuguese fluency (English valued).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Automation or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on shop floor experience.
• Skilled in PLC programming.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and document technical details.
• Fluency in Portuguese required; English appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and commissioning of automation projects to boost efficiency.
• Modify and upgrade existing automation equipment to meet evolving production goals and standards.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and support to the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
• Interpret and create precise electrical circuits, diagrams, and documentation for compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into production processes.
