Morson Edge (Technology) in Porto is seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join a hybrid team. You will translate requirements into AI/LLM solutions, design and deploy AI/ML models, and build prompt engineering capabilities for production systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor colleagues while advancing AI governance and secure usage practices across cloud-native architectures.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on software development experience, with solid database and scalable system design knowledge.
• 2+ years in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Data Science, with Python proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with AI model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and LLM frameworks/tools.

Responsabilidades

Artificial Intelligence Engineer | Hybrid | Porto

We're working with a leading financial technology organisation that is expanding its engineering team and is looking for an experienced Artificial Intelligence engineer

This is an opportunity to help build and enhance mission-critical trading and financial systems while driving the adoption of AI technologies across enterprise applications.

What you'll be doing

• Translate business requirements into functional applications and innovative AI/LLM solutions
• Design, fine-tune, deploy, and optimize AI/ML models for real-world applications
• Develop and refine prompts for LLM-based solutions (prompt engineering) and experiment with model parameters (e.g., temperature, top-p)
• Create proofs of concept (POCs) for R&D using notebooks (e.g., Jupyter) and analyze complex datasets
• Ensure AI governance, implementing guardrails, auditing, and secure usage best practices
• Design scalable, cloud-native architectures, build and integrate AI solutions into business line applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on software development experience, with solid database and scalable system design knowledge
• 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Data Science, with good proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with AI model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and LLM frameworks/tools (GPT, Transformers, Hugging Face)
• Experience with AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock) or Azure equivalents
• Solid grasp of trusted AI practices, API security, AI guardrails, and data privacy
• Excellent problem-solving skills, Agile/Scrum proficiency, and fluent English

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker or Azure AI services
• AI or cloud certifications
