PrimeIT in Porto is seeking an AI Engineer to design and implement end-to-end AI pipelines, fine-tune LLMs, and deploy production-ready solutions for client platforms in a hybrid Porto working model.

You will collaborate with software and data teams, advance MLOps practices, monitor models, and contribute to AI governance and responsible AI initiatives, leveraging your 2–3 years of mid-senior experience.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or a similar role.
• Strong background in software engineering and enterprise-scale technology delivery.
• Experience defining and implementing AI or technology strategies in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices, model monitoring, observability, and Agile methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and optimize end-to-end AI pipelines for scalable solutions.

We are looking for an AI Engineer:

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize end-to-end AI pipelines, transforming complex business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Develop, fine-tune, and deploy Large Language Models (LLMs), ensuring high performance and seamless integration with client platforms.
• Implement AI-focused CI/CD pipelines, automate data workflows, orchestrate AI agents, and manage the full AI lifecycle through monitoring, reporting, and governance.
• Evaluate, benchmark, and continuously optimize AI models and services to improve accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and real-time performance.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data specialists, and product teams to deliver innovative AI solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Contribute to AI architecture decisions, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or a similar role.
• Strong background in software engineering, digital platforms, and enterprise-scale technology delivery.
• Experience defining and implementing AI or technology strategies in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications.
• Experience with Agentic AI concepts and implementation patterns.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices, model monitoring, observability, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS and AI/ML cloud services.
• Knowledge of model evaluation, benchmarking, AI security, privacy, and FinOps.
• Experience with production-grade AI systems and large-scale deployments.
• Familiarity with AI governance and responsible AI practices.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, AI, or Machine Learning.
