Job summary

Closer Consulting, a Portugal-based Data Science company, is seeking a Data Architect to join our team. You will design and implement modern data architectures, leveraging Lakehouse patterns, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, and build robust data products.

You will work on event-driven pipelines, CDC, streaming data, and API integrations in Azure. The ideal candidate has hands-on Azure experience with Databricks, Data Factory, Storage, Event Hubs, Functions, plus security practices, GitHub

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Architecture, including Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Data Products.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, CDC, streaming pipelines and API integrations (REST, Async and Event APIs).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Event Hubs, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Azure Storage.
• Familiarity with Azure Key Vault, GitHub and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with architecture reviews, observability, cloud cost optimization and Data Governance.
• Knowledge of SRE principles and operational best practices.
• Experience with Data Mesh and Terraform is a plus.

• Experience in Data Architecture, including Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture
