Job summary

Europcar in Portugal is seeking an SSC AR Cash Application Clerk L1 to support day-to-day cash posting and payment allocation. You will process remittances, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate customer records in a fast-paced shared service center environment.

The role requires a degree in Finance or related field, familiarity with Oracle Financials, and strong communication in English. This position offers growth within a finance team and exposure to month-end processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in AR or Cash Applications is a plus.
• Basic accounting knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive and post customer remittances to accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Process payments and allocate receipts against open invoices.
• Support investigation of basic overpayments, underpayments, and discrepancies.
• Assist in resolving unapplied and unidentified cash receipts.
• Maintain accurate customer records in company systems.
• Support direct debit administration and reconciliation activities.
• Collaborate with Collections and Customer Service on payment inquiries.
• Assist month-end activities and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members.
