Alter Solutions is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join our team in Porto. You will provide technical support and maintenance for business-critical applications and infrastructure, ensuring uptime and performance across Linux and Windows environments.

Hybrid work model: 2 days per week in the office in Porto or Lisbon, with opportunities to contribute to incident management, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise schedulers like Control-M/BMC.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience in Application Support or similar roles.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with enterprise schedulers such as Control-M/BMC.
• Scripting knowledge in Shell, Python and/or PowerShell.
• Experience with application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, Apache or IIS).
• Knowledge of relational databases and basic SQL.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana).
• Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory/Kerberos, firewalls and reverse proxies.
• Basic networking knowledge and container-based infrastructures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
